Yes, lumber can be pre-stained. We offer this service as an option when our sister company, Fence Guys, builds a fence or deck.

How often should I restain my fence or deck?

To maintain the integrity and appearance of your wood fence or deck, we recommend restaining every 2–3 years. Sun exposure, weather conditions, and foot traffic can all impact the lifespan of your stain. Regular maintenance ensures long-term protection from UV damage, moisture, and wood decay.

How long does it take to stain a fence?

Staining times will vary based upon whether or not cleaning of the existing fence is required prior to staining. Staining times will also vary based upon the size of the fence to be stained.

Does this stain protect again mold and mildew?

Our premium grade, eco-friendly, low VOC stains and sealers eliminate oxidation, UV ray damage, mold, mildew and also minimize warping of the lumber.

How should I clean my deck after staining?

We recommend a soft wash of the deck after it has been stained and allowed sufficient time to dry.

Each of our fence or deck stains and sealers are backed by a 2-year or a 3-year (dependent upon the product selected) manufacturer’s warranty. Stain Guys also provides a 1-year warranty against any cracking, peeling, or chipping of the stain/sealed surface.
